who stole your heart and the key?

In the dark, you taste something sweet and tart on your tongue, almost like apple but not quite: pomegranate juice, out of nowhere. A hint of something metallic accompanies it.

You fall down.

She lowers her head a little, resigned. In the dim light from the sword, it's hard to see her actual face.

It works, just barely, but you slip on the arch and nearly fall. It's dangerous up here.

That's... How it goes sometimes. By wanting to save people he has to bear the loss of the people he couldn't save.

And she reaches out with one bloodied hand. A small blob of moonlight rises off it. "Follow this, okay? So you don't get lost."

[Takes? Moonblob? Strokes her hair apologetically one more time then carefully slides down to the ground.]

The little ball of moonlight gently drifts out of your hands as you make your way back to the ground; it bobs in the direction of one particular passageway and waits for you to follow.
