In the dark, you taste something sweet and tart on your tongue, almost like apple but not quite: pomegranate juice, out of nowhere. A hint of something metallic accompanies it.

You fall down.

It grabs you in turn and starts to try to pull you down into the ooze, with surprising strength.

The field does indeed slope down to where the walls of the valley narrow in once more.

The doors open. A little of the dust blows out into the cool, still courtyard beyond.

The puppet-thing pauses behind her.

She looks up at him warily. "I already had a Servant. He wasn't good enough."

[Thank goodness. She doesn't really know how to do anything else though, so she turns her head to just take a while watching the puppet.]

You make your way further down the slope. Soon, the rocky walls close in around you...

"That's right." She smiles. "Nothing here can ever turn back."

It's a struggle, but in the end you're able to pull away from the grasping limbs before they drag you into the muck.

Its voice sounds faintly like Haku's, but creaky and fake somehow.

You're able to gain some stability, but where are you going to go? There are a multitude of passages branching off from this main tunnel, and it's impossible to make out which one the sound comes from.

She hesitates.

"That's the kind of place this is. Once you choose a path, you have to follow it to the very bitter end."
