Well there is a very good reason for that. Not that I'd tell you what that reason is though.
Without a war going on I guess I really don't have any reason to run you or any other servant here through with my sword. At least, not at the moment anyway.

I don't know if that means I can relax, give all the strange and ridiculous things the people who've kidnapped us have done.
